ABOUT

I have lived, breathed, and loved natural food and beauty products since day one, when I was born at home. More formally, I am a Certified Holistic Health Counselor, accredited by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners and a graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. I hope to help my readers incorporate healthier, more natural choices into their daily routines to improve their overall health, both inside and out, and to create greater balance in their lives.

I originally began blogging in September 2009 as All Natural Annie, which has now been integrated into Branch + Vine, my holistic beauty line and the new namesake of my blog.  The main focus of my blog will now be holistic and slow beauty, which will include product and spa reviews.

All of the information, reviews and tips I will be providing here will be based on research, personal opinion, and experience. For this site, the word natural will refer to things that are free of artificial or genetically-altered ingredients. Whether I’m talking about a beauty, food, or health product, I will make it a point not to include anything that has artificial coloring, artificial flavoring, EDTA, BHT, parabens, or any other ingredient that is associated with negative health effects. The less processed and the closer to nature the better!

  1. All Natural Annie,
I’m kind of new to going natural and a few friends told me I had to check out your website.
I recently purchased fresh chocolate peanut butter from Whole Foods. I am used to everything being processed and being able to leave peanut butter on the shelf. I’m not sure if I can do the same with fresh peanut butter. I tried refrigerating it and it got really hard. Can I keep it unrefriged? If so, what is the shelf-life? Thanks!!
