Some Natural Prevention – Breast Cancer

Here are several relatively easy ways to maintain and improve breast health:

  1. Exercise!
  2. Maintain a healthy weight – obesity and breast cancer often go hand and hand
  3. Eat more fruits & veggies
  4. Limit alcohol consumption
  5. Avoid exposure to radiation
  6. Have babies and nurse them – pregnancy and breastfeeding lower the levels of estrogen in the bloodstream and therefore decrease your risk of breast cancer
  7. Minimize your use of antibiotics
  8. Drink more green tea
  9. Avoid or discontinue long-term Hormone Replacement Therapy
  10. **Avoid toxic cleaning and beauty products
  11. Go organic more often, especially when it comes to these fruits & veggies

  2. great tips not only for breast cancer prevention but general health and well being. I try and do most of these things and going “mostly” vegetarian has helped so much. I need to drink more green tea :)

  3. Thanks. Breast cancer (like any cancer) is scary… an ex-colleague had to go through chemotherapy and shaved off all her hair… seeing her with a wig kind of freaked me out, I couldn’t believe it had happened to her.

  4. skim milk introduction after WW2(theres where the rise in breast cancer came about) has anyone looked at the phenonemon and areas where skim milk was used more? , whole milk is so important for women especially. love you XXXXXX oOOOOOOOO
